Using Microsoft Backoffice: Special
Published in Hardcover by Que (March, 1997)
Authors: Don Benage, Gregory A. Sullivan, and Donald M. Benage
Average review score:

A Great door stop that covers all the essentials.
I've referenced the book many times, including the 6 other books included on the CD-Rom in HTML format, which is very easy to carry around. It helped our I.T department setup all of the Microsoft BackOffice products from the ground up. We've used it as a reference point for most "How Do I..." questions. A very usefull reference and guide.

Waza
Published in Paperback by Double Dragon Publishing (July, 2002)
Author: M.J. Sullivan
Average review score:

Nothing as it seems.
WAZA is a well structured novel that uncovers the ultimate truth of our time... the life we lead never concludes as originally intented. MJ Sullivan weaves a tale told from multiple perspectives and timelines. Linear, but not linear. Hopeful but tragic. It is worth the effort to take time and study the glossary and appendices in order to gain a fuller meaning of the text. The author's accompanying calligraphy is a beautiful backdrop to the tale.

We Band of Brothers: The Sullivans & World War II
Published in Paperback by Mid-Prairie Books (February, 1995)
Authors: John R. Satterfield and John R. Satterfield

The Real Family behind "Saving Private Ryan"
As one of eight children growing up in Michigan, I wasmesmerized in 1962 when I first saw "The FightingSullivans," by that time already an 18-year old black & whitemovie. Like my Dad (a WWII veteran wounded in Europe while with the103rd Inf Div) and my two older brothers, I entered into the militaryservice during the Vietnam War, married a WAF (the daughter of a NavyWWII vet aboard the USS Sigourney and USS Duluth), and have nowwatched four of our own eight children enter the Army and Air Force. As a Catholic, I strongly identify with the large family of theSullivans, their religion, and their commitment to military service. While I enjoyed the 20th Century Fox movie, I especially appreciatedthe even-handed and fair treatment that Commander Satterfield usedwhile writing this book. It's the only one I know of whichcomprehensively covers the family. It is well-researched from both amilitary documents viewpoint and that based upon newspaper articlesand family and friend interviews. He presents the family as they were--- not saints, just ordinary Americans growing up in the midwest withcommon family problems. Both the author and the Mayor of Waterloo, IA(a nephew of Katherine Mary Rooff Sullivan) were receptive to emailinquiries I sent. I heartily recommend this book to all butespecially to those whose interests center on family militaryservice...

Author: George Sullivan
Average review score:

Wilt Chamberlain
I thought the book Wilt Chamberlain by George Sullivan was an excelent book because it gives a great story of the life and the career of Wilt Chamberlain. It brought me through his days in high school, days at the University of Kansas, then it also goes to his days in the N.B.A. with the Philadelphia Warriors, and to his days with the Harlem Globetrotters. He was a buisnessman too. He owned and co-owned a hotel and a basketball player development place for kids.I would recomend this to any sports lover who likes basketball and wants to learn the history on the game.

Beautiful cakes
I love Wilton's books, i need more information on how to make tier cakes. There's isnt much info on this during the classes.I was hoping this book would help. Its pretty much for someone who has already had quite a bit of experience with these types of cakes. So in that way i was disappointed, however it does have some beautiful cake pictures in it.It does tell you all the tools that you will need for each cake. What tips to use for the designs & flowers.I rated this book 4 stars for this,so if you have had experience with making teirs cakes you shouldnt be disappointed.

Yankees: An Illustrated History
Published in Paperback by Prentice Hall Trade (November, 1982)
Authors: George Sullivan and John Powers
Average review score:

The Greatest Team In Baseball
Time has come and passed, with teams handing the World Series trophy over to the next team the next year. There are no true dynasties anymore. Back in the 20's through the mid 60's, the New York Yankees were the team to beat, every year. And now, once again, the New York Yankees are the epitomy of greatness. Names like Ruth, DiMaggio, Mantle, Maris, and Jeter have all walked through the hallowed corridors of Yankee Stadium, calling it their home. No team in any sport has recorded as many world championships as the Yankees have. Beginning with the trade involving Babe Ruth in 1920, within three years they had won their first World Series, traveling to the beginning of the new era with Jeter, the Yankees have been spectacular. In this book, the essence of the true, pinstriped summer boys is captured in breathtaking photography. I have yet to find a photography book that makes me feel like I'm there, to take the pictures like this one has. If you are a Yankee fan, or even if you're not, this book will change entirely the way you see the boys in pinstripes.

The Third Option
Published in Audio CD by Chivers Audio Books (June, 2001)
Authors: Vince Flynn and Nick Sullivan
Average review score:

A good, fast read. Lots of fun.
Mr Flynn's third outing was a good one. I enjoyed this book a great deal, particularly because he was a bit less preachy in this one than he was in his first.

The main character, Mitch Rapp, is rather enigmatic, but then looking at what he does for a living, that would be appropriate. The characters were good, the scenery was described well, and this time Mr Flynn didn't make everyone that was a non-conservative, a cross between the devil and a child molester.

Mr Flynn does a good job with the local geography as well. Many authors tend to make things up as they go along when describing Washington, DC (Clancy comes to mind here), but Flynn gets it all down just right. From George Washington University Hospital (where my daughter was born) and campus, to the State Department and Naval Bureau of Medicine on 23rd street that I drive past every morning and afternoon

This isn't high art, and it isn't literature, but if you are looking for a fast paced novel about political intrigue, assassins, and tradecraft this is your book.

As a personal aside, I think Mitch Rapp should ditch that Beretta he uses and get something a bit more practical for his line of work.

Vince Flynn Stories Get Better!
Third Option turned out to be an outstanding read. Mitch Rapp
has turned out to be the perfect hero in the Flynn novels.Irene Kennedy,President Hayes, and Rapp's lady love add to the excellent story line. Rapp, while conducting an assasination for
the C.I.A. in Germany is double crossed and nearly killed. What develops from this incident is a giant conspiracy. A C.I.A.
contract man is involved as well as a U.S. Senator. Several
attempts are made on Rapp's life by these forces. Rapp managesto survive. This story leaves room for a sequel for this action
packed story line. Read this book. You will be very pleased. Vince Flynn gives you a good break from Tom Clancy and other
imitators.

No Options Here - Just Keep Reading
Oh, how we yearn these days to believe that our CIA has such people working for it as Mitch Rapp, a member of the Orion Team who has become a legend within The Agency. Code named Ironman, it looks as though Rapp has ended his service to our country, when after taking out a German industrialist who was aiding Sadaam Hussein to build weapons of mass destruction, his partner in the hit, turns her gun on Rapp and fires two bullets into his chest at point blank range.

Through the miracle of Kevlar, Rapp survives (although few others do) and spends the rest of the book trying to figure out who wanted him dead and why.

Deftly written, Flynn makes his characters very believeable and the scenarios they encounter more than plausable. His use of dialogue, something I admire in any gifted writer, is excellent and you are drawn through the pages at a pace which does damage to your sleep time, but which leaves you looking forward to the knowledge that there is a sequel to this book, Separation of Power, waiting in your "books to be read pile." I discovered the author Jan Karon, after she had written five of her books in the Mitford series and had the luxury of reading them seriatum. I am equally fortunate with Mr. Flynn and only hope that his imagination and his energy level remain high, so that he can keep drawing us through his world of danger, espionage and intrigue.
